The publication presents: changes in the size of the population of social welfare beneficiaries and their households; the scale of use of this assistance along with its regional differentiation; the population of beneficiaries and their households, including one-person households in 2024, with numerous references to the beginning of the 2015–2024 decade; poor beneficiaries of social welfare and their households; the issue of the persistence of welfare use, as well as recipients by the main types of social welfare benefits and their demographic characteristics.
In addition, for the first time in the Annexes, the publication presents beneficiaries receiving allowances due to natural disasters, as well as foreigners who made use of social welfare services.



Correction from: 23/12/2025

In this publication chart 7 (p. 26) has been corrected because the Lubelski region was mistakenly listed twice, with the second one being changed to Lubuski. The first range in the legend for map 1 (p. 24) has been corrected, and the ranges in charts 10 (p. 30), 12 (p. 31) and map 1 (p. 106) have been clarified. Redundant footnotes have been removed from table 4 (p. 74) and table 6 (p. 80).
