Statistics Poland publishes monthly the average monthly gross wage and salary and the median monthly gross wage and salary. These data allow for an analysis of the measures of wages and salaries also by sex, broken down by powiat and city with powiat status.

In May 2024, out of 380 powiats and cities with powiat status, only 26 units had median monthly gross wages and salaries higher for women than for men (data by place of residence). The most (as many as 10 units) were in the Mazowieckie Voivodship.
The new Survey on the Distribution of Wages and Salaries in the National Economy is prepared on the basis of administrative sources and provides users with wage indicators and information on earners and entities where wages and salaries are paid
