Distribution of wages and salaries in the national economy in March 2026
In March 2026, the median monthly gross wage and salary decreased by 2.1% in nominal terms compared with February 2026, whilst it increased by 7.6% compared with March 2025. During the same period, the average monthly gross wage and salary decreased by 2.7% in nominal terms compared with February 2026, whilst it increased by 6.6% compared with March 2025.

Financial results of enterprises in the 1st half of 2026 (final results)

Occupancy of tourist accommodation establishments in July and August 2026
In July and August 2026, 10.0 million tourists stayed at tourist accommodations in Poland. Compared to 2025, the number of tourists increased by 2.5%. The number of overnight stays amounted 29.4 million, an increase of 3.7% compared to the same period in 2025.

33,081 persons injured in accidents at work were reported in the first half of 2026 (7.9% more than in the first half of 2025). The incidence rate (the number of injured persons per 1,000 employed persons) increased from 2.23 to 2.41 per year.

Financial results of cultural institutions in in the first half of 2026 (preliminary data)
In the first half of 2026, total revenues of cultural institutions increased by 8.3% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, and total costs – by 9.0%. The gross financial result was higher by 1.2% than in the previous year. Investment outlays of cultural institutions increased by 25.2%.

In the second quarter of 2026, there were 2 896 481 active enterprises in Poland. With regard to the kind of economic activity, the largest population were enterprises from section trade; repair of motor vehicles (16.5% of total). Persons performing work only under civil law contracts in Poland in March 2026
On the last day of March 2026, 1 476.9 thousand persons in Poland were performing work only under contracts of mandate and related contracts, i.e. 5.9% (82.0 thousand persons) more than on 31 March 2025. Compared with 31 December 2025, their number decreased by 1.4% (by 20.9 thousand persons).

In January-July 2026 foreign trade turnover in exports at current prices amounted to PLN 961.0 bn, while in imports to PLN 979.6 bn. The negative balance reached the level of PLN 18.6 bn. In comparison to the corresponding period of 2025, exports increased by 6.0% and imports by 6.4%.

According to preliminary data, the population of pigs in June 2026 was 9 206.2 thousand heads showing a increase of 0.9% compared to the analogical period last year. The increase in numbers occurred in the pigs, from 20 kg to less than 50 kg, fattening pigs and covered sows.
