In April 2026, the median monthly gross wage and salary increased by 2.2% in nominal terms compared with March 2026 and by 6.0% compared with April 2025. During the same period, the average monthly gross wage and salary decreased by 0.5% in nominal terms compared with March 2026, whilst it increased by 5.5% compared with April 2025.

Consumer prices in September 2026 increased by 4.1% compared with the corresponding month of the previous year (with an increase of prices of services by 5.3% and goods by 3.6%). Foreign trade turnover of goods in total and by countries in January-August 2026
In January-August 2026 foreign trade turnover in exports at current prices amounted to PLN 1 093.0 bn, while in imports to PLN 1 120.9 bn. The negative balance reached the level of PLN 27.9 bn. In comparison to the corresponding period of 2025, exports increased by 7.0% and imports by 7.5%.

In 2025, there were 2 460.7 thousand enterprises operating in Poland with up to 9 persons employed (microenterprises). Their number increased by 93.0 thousand units, i.e., 3.9%, compared to the previous year. In the period January– September 2026, 3.1% more dwellings were completed compared to the same period last year. Among tourism characteristic activities, accommodation (NACE division 55) made the largest contribution to tourism direct gross value added – 19.5%.
