A further result of the Statistics Poland  efforts to increase the availability of statistical data is the API to the Publication Data Store (link do API SDP). Its release improves the level of openness of statistical data and its reusability.

The API SDP enriches the existing catalogue of Statistics Poland  products equipped with this interface (API REGON, API TERYT, API BDL, API DBW, API SDG, API STRATEG), which are available on api.stat.gov.pl.

API (Application Programming Interface) is a method of communication between IT systems to facilitate automatic data selection and acquisition. The fact that data can be easily inserted into a user’s IT environment improves the efficiency of data processing and the creating of, for example, applications, analyses and visualizations.

Data in the API SDP is organized in two arrangements: by publication variables and by indicators.  For those interested in information in full sections and in different types of breakdowns, the Publication Variables section will be appropriate. The use of basic data at the total level is provided through the Indicators section.

As with other systems with APIs created by Statistics Poland, downloading data through the API SDP is free of charge.
