Working conditions


Definition:

Group of factors occurring in the work environment, arising from the work process as well as factors associated with the performance of work. Work environment factors include: physical (e.g., lighting, noise, microclimate), chemical (e.g., toxic substances) and biological (e.g., bacteria) factors occurring in the work area (e.g., on the shop floor, at a workstation) as well as in the area surrounding the work place.
