Container ISO


Definition:

A container designed for repeated transport of goods, without the need for their reloading on change of the means of transport, equipped with devices enabling easy transport and reloading, resistant to transport conditions and having as much as possible standardised dimensions: width and height 8 feet, length: 10,20,30,40 feet.



Container-platform - a container with platform base, without roof and side walls, equipped with top and bottom container corner fitting. TEU (twenty-foot equivalent unit) - a standard unit for calculating the containers of various capacity and for describing the capacity of ships and container terminals. 1 TEU = 1 container measuring 20 - foot ISO.
