Definition:

Water in which the concentration of chloride and sulfate ions exceeds 1800mg/l. It is divided into: - medium salinity (concentration of chloride and sulfate ions from 1800 mg/l do 42000mg/l) - strong salinity (concentration of chloride and sulfate ions above 42000mg/l).
