Unemployment benefit


Definition:

A benefit granted to the unemployed registered in labour offices.



Terms and conditions authorising the benefit right and the period of its receiving are governed by the Act on Promotion of Employment and Labour Market Institutions. By September 30th of each year, the Minister of Labour, on the basis of the announcement of the President of the Central Statistical Office, announces the amounts of benefits in the Journal Law of the Republic of Poland "Monitor Polski". Funds for unemployment benefits come from the Labour Fund.
