Community centre /After-school club (cultural entity)


Definition:

Cultural institution which usually has only one room and essential equipment, and whose territorial range covers small groups in the local environment.



The activity in after-school clubs is generally conducted by social activists, supported by the manager of a given after-school club. The units which are customarily called "after-school clubs," but which do not conduct cultural events, and whose rooms serve other purposes, e.g. are used as the venues for official meetings and conferences, professional/vocational courses, and the like, as well as school dayrooms do not belong to the group of community centres.
