Removal from the register of monuments
Definition:
1. A monument entered in the register which has been damaged to such an extent that its historical, artistic or scientific value has been lost, or whose value, which was the basis of the decision to enter it in the register, has not been confirmed by new scientific findings, shall be removed from the register.
2. The provision of par. 1 shall apply to the deletion of a part of a monument from the register.
3. The surroundings of a monument shall be removed from the register if that monument is removed from the register.
4. A monument shall also be removed from the register in case when: 1) (repealed) 1a) it had been entered in the Heritage Treasures List; 2) it had been entered in the inventory of the museum; 3) it had been included in the national library inventory.
5. Removal from the register shall be by decision of the minister competent for the matters of culture and protection of national heritage.
6. The proceedings to remove the monument from the register are initiated ex officio or upon request of the owner of the monument or the perpetual usufructuary of the land on which the immovable monument is located. (Article 13 of the Act)
