President of the Republic of Poland


Definition:

The supreme representative of the Republic of Poland and the guarantor of the continuity of State authority. The President ensures observance of the Constitution, safeguards the sovereignty and security of the State as well as the inviolability and integrity of its territory, and serves as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland. The President is elected by universal suffrage for a five-year term of office.
