Level of disability


Definition:

The relevant decision of the authority empowered to do so. Three levels of disability are distinguished: considerable, moderate, slight.



Three levels of disability are established: 1) considerable; 2) moderate 3) slight. A considerable degree of disability includes a person with impaired fitness of the body: 1) incapacitated for employment, 2) capable of performing employment in sheltered work or in an establishment of occupational activation, requiring permanent or long-term care or assistance by another person in order to perform social roles due to a considerably limited possibility of independent existence. A moderate degree of disability includes a person with impaired physical fitness capable of performing employment in a job adapted to the needs and opportunities arising from the disability, requiring, in order to perform social roles, the partial or periodic assistance of another person in connection with the limited possibility of independent existence. A slight degree of disability includes a person with impaired fitness of an organism capable of performing employment, who does not require the assistance of another person in order to perform social roles.
