Shooting of game animals


Definition:

A process of controlled shooting of game in accordance with a breeding plan, aimed at the management of wild animal population so as to maintain ecological stability and to prevent animal expansion. Shooting is a subsistent part of game management whereby the process itself and the exact scope of shooting is determined on the basis of specific breeding needs and regulations concerning nature conservation.
