Sources of financing
Definition:
Financial resources enabling the proper operation of an entity/enterprise/agricultural holding. These include both own sources and funds obtained from external entities, such as: credits and loans, state budget funds, leasing, direct payments, funds obtained from European Funds, etc.
Preferential credits for agriculture - preferential credits since 2015: credits for investments in agriculture and inland fishing; credits for the purchase of agricultural land; credits for investments in the processing of agricultural products, fish, crustaceans and molluscs, and for the purchase of stocks and shares; credits for the resumption of production on in agricultural holdings and special branches of agricultural production affected by drought, hailstorm, torrential rain, adverse effects of overwintering, spring frosts, flood, hurricane, landslide or avalanche; credits with partial reimbursement of capital for the purchase of agricultural land by young farmers.
Direct payments include the Single Area Payment scheme (SAP), the payment for agricultural practices beneficial to the climate and environment (the so-called afforestation payment), the young farmer payment, the additional (redistributive) payment, payments coupled to production, the transitional national support payment, and the small farm scheme.
Other EU funds include the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), which finances activities under the Rural Development Programme, and the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF), which finances aid, among others, under the common market organization for fruit and vegetables.
