Forests and forest land area

Definition:

The area of forests and forest lands refers to an area of at least 0.10 ha (in the case of forest lease or joint use, it can be below 0.10 ha): forested (covered with forest plants) or non-forested (temporarily devoid of it) (non-forested), as well as land associated with forestry management and short-rotation plantations (including those established on agricultural land).

This category includes the area of forest nurseries established on forest land and used for the agricultural holding own (non-commercial) purposes. Christmas tree plantations located outside forests and forest lands are not included here.
