Active job seeking by Census 2021


Definition:

Particular attempts made by a person in order to find a job, (regardless of the results obtained, working hours and whether it was to be permanent or occasional work), i.e., among others, they undertook one of the following actions:

- responded to job advertisements (e.g. by sending their CV and other required documents or using the appropriate application on the company's website),

- browsed job vacancies or posted their own job search advertisements,

- participated in tests and interviews,

- looked for a job through relatives and friends, or directly at workplaces,

- made efforts to organize their own workplace - examples of such actions include: looking for land, premises, buildings, equipment, efforts to obtain licenses, permits, financial resources,

- looked for a job through the district labour office or a private employment agency, although waiting for contact with these institutions during the period under study cannot be considered an active job search.
