Supported accommodation


Definition:

The form of social assistance that prepares, with the support of specialists, disabled persons, including physically handicapped or with mental disorders and elders or chronically ill, to lead an independent life or to assists such persons in everyday life. Supported accommodation provides living services, social work, assistance in activities necessary for everyday life, in making social relations and in self-dependence personal development at the level of their psychophysical abilities. The support in such form is given for a definite period and in case of persons certified as severe or moderate disabled as well as in particularly justified cases for indefinite period.
