Job shadowing


Definition:

Learning on the job through observation. By observing real activities in the organisation, the employee learns the basic aspects related to work and its culture, and thus - behaviours, skills and competencies typical for a given position. This type of learning is usually used to onboard new employees but it is also increasingly used to develop the career of professionals and specialists who can improve their qualifications and skills in this way.
