Course

Definition:

A planned series of individual training classes in a specific topic area offered by a provider. It usually covers a specific topic and is led by one or more people who specialise in a given field.

Courses can be conducted on-site or using distance learning techniques. Distance training includes courses that are similar to on-site courses, i.e. they may include such elements as curriculum, enrollment, teaching and even tests, but are conducted by correspondence or via electronic media connecting instructors, teachers or trainers with learners who are not in one classroom together (e-learning).
