Railway line


Definition:

Line of transportation made up by rail exclusively for the use of railway vehicles and maintained for running trains.



A line is made up of one or more tracks (a track stands for a pair of rails over which rail borne vehicles can run maintained by an infrastructure manager. Metro and Tram lines are excluded).
