Distribution of imports

Definition:

Preparing the data on the destination of goods according to the directions of their use. It is drawn up according to the Standard International Trade Classification (SITC Rev. 4) by broad economic categories: - investment goods - intermediate consumption - consumer goods.

Each commodity is unambiguously assigned to one import category. For the division of data related to foreign trade into categories with end use, which are significant for the System of National Accounts (SNA), that is into capital assets, intermediate consumption and consumer goods, the Classification by Broad Economic Categories (BEC) is used. BEC classification distinguishes 7 basic categories: - food and non-alcoholic beverages - industrial supplies not elsewhere specified - fuel and lubricants - investment goods (excluding means of transport) - means of transport and their accessories - consumer goods not classified elsewhere - other goods not classified elsewhere.
