Pre-primary education
Definition:
Pre-primary education covers children from the beginning of the school year in the calendar year when the child turns 3 until the end of the school year in the calendar year when the child reaches the age of 7. It is implemented in nursery schools, pre-primary sections in primary schools and in other forms of pre-school education (pre-primary education units and pre-primary centres). The purpose of pre-primary education is to provide children with care, support their individual development, implement the core curriculum and prepare them for learning at school.
