Special education care centre


Definition:

An institution run for children and youth who, due to disabilities, can not attend to a school or a nursery school in the place of living.



The centre includes at least one of the following schools: 1. special primary school; 2. special secondary school. The centre may also include a special nursery school established on the basis of agreement between competent authorities. The centre enables: 1. participation in individual or group specialist classes of pedagogical therapy, revalidation, physical improvement, social prevention and rehabilitation, preparing for independence in social life; 2. participation in sports, tourist, recreational, cultural and educational classes.
