Definition:
Activity of government or local administration carried out based on laws. Depending on the mode of administration during task implementation, three basic groups of public tasks can be distinguished:
- providing or ensuring the provision of services to residents and other entities,
- ruling with the use of coercive methods in the execution of these tasks, manifested in the authority to issue administrative decisions granted based on statutory provisions,
- creating regulations, norms, and standards within the legally provided authorisations.
