Social consultations


Definition:

Actions taken by local authorities to inform and then recognise the views of residents or organisations representing different groups in relation to the planned decisions, in order to reach optimal solutions.



Consultations take place in the cases provided for by the law (mandatory consultations) and in other matters important to the municipality. The rules and procedures of public consultations should be set out in the resolution of the municipality council.
