Age dependency ratio


Definition:

The number of children (0-14 years) and the elderly (65 and more) to the number of people aged 15-64.



The ratio can also be calculated in relation to economic age groups and it is the ratio of the number of people in non-working age to the number of people in working age.
Non-productive age is 0-17 years (pre-working age) and 60 years and over for women and 65 years and over for men (post-working age); The production age is 18-59 / 64 years (18-59 years for women and 18-64 years for men).
