Density of population


Definition:

Density of population is a measure of the condensation of the population on the given territory - expressed most often in persons on 1square.kilometer (also in persons on 1 hectares - when the population is very large, e.g. in agglomerations).



In the calculation, the basis of the reference is the area in hectares, then converted as the number of people per square kilometer.
