Demand deposit


Definition:

Assets accumulated in bank accounts, which at any time can be converted to cash, in whole or in part, without significant constraints, mainly in regard to the current account balances of the individual.



This category also includes any deposits made by an individual in form of, for example, a payment guarantee without indication of a withdrawal date.
