Net Calorific Value


Definition:

The amount of heat obtained by total and complete combustion of units of fuel , wherein products of combustion cool off to the initial temperature, and water vapor is not condensed. The calorific value is lower than the heat of combustion by the size of the heat of condensation of water vapor contained in the exhaust gases.
