Bee colony


Definition:

Bee colony consists of one bee mother, 30-80 thousand of worker bees and several thousand drones, colonizing one bee colony.



In the winter, there may be 10-50 thousand bees in the hive, in the summer, however, depending on the breed of bees, climate conditions and farming methods this number can reach 60-80 thousand. In late spring and summer there are from a few hundred to 2.5 thousand drones in a bee colony.
