Inflow

Definition:

Number of people who arrived in a given administrative unit in a given period from other places of the country.

In the current migration statistics for permanent residence based on administrative data sources, the inflow to the administrative unit is the number of people who registered in that unit for permanent residence in a given period. The term "inflow" usually refers to internal migration. In a broader sense the inflow also means arrivals from abroad (immigration).
