Price index of agricultural output


Definition:

Price index of agricultural output express synthetically the changes of prices of the sold agricultural products, i.e. average procurement prices and prices received by farmers on marketplaces.



This indices is calculated as a ratio of value and volume indices obtained from aggregated agricultural output accounts. Value indices is calculated as a relation of the production level, expressed in current prices in the period under the survey to the production level of the preceding year. Volume indices is calculated in current prices.
