Area of special nature value under legal protection


Definition:

An area covered by forms of animate and inanimate nature protection as well as landscape protection in order to protect natural resources.



The area of special nature value under legal protection is the total area of national parks, nature reserves, landscape parks, protected landscape areas, dokumentation sites, ecological areas and natural and scenic complexes.

The area of special nature value under legal protection does not include the area of nature reserves, dokumentation sites, ecological areas and natural and scenic complexes located in the area of landscape parks and protected landscape areas. This is in order to eliminate double counting of the same surface.

The area of special nature value under legal protection includes this part of Natura 2000 areas which is located within national parks, nature reserves, landscape parks, protected landscape areas, dokumentation sites, ecological areas and natural and scenic complexes.
