Permanent exhibitions

Definition:

Thematic and unchangeable set of exhibits presented in separated museum's areas or parts thereof.

The permanent exhibition reflects most often a museum character, being sort of his "showcase" (eg, monuments of folklore, folk arts and crafts - in case of the ethnographic museum, or a set showing the history and research achievements of universities, teaching aids and sights of literature - in case of the university museum) or presents the characteristics or the history of the region in which the museum is located.
