Quartile skewness coefficient


Definition:

The measure of asymmetry, (measure of skewness), is used to examine the direction and force of the asymmetry of the feature distribution. The quartile-based factor assumes values in the range <-1; 1>. At the ends of this interval, the asymmetry of the tested variable X is stronger (respectively: left-handed asymmetry, right-hand asymmetry).
