Nominant

Definition:

A statistical characteristic for which the "normal" (nominal) values of a characteristic are desirable, while any deviations from the "normal" level are a negative phenomenon for it. The significance of the nomant in the description of phenomena remains justified when the considered empirical distribution of the examined feature is unimodal.
