Devices or technical equipment used for environmental protection purposes.

These devices may be:

• end-of-pipe equipment that do not affect the production process (the production can operate without this equipment) but reduces or eliminates pollution that has been generated (e.g. wastewater treatment plants, landfills, filters)
• integrated technologies – as an entirety or a part of a production process, adapted in order to reduce the quantity and change the quality of produced pollutants. As a result of the operation of these devices (technologies), production becomes more environmentally friendly.

Devices and technical equipment made with the purpose of health and safety at the workplace should be excluded.
