General secondary school for adults


Definition:

Upper secondary school with separate organisation of education which admits persons who are or will turn 18 in the calendar year in which they are admitted to school.



Graduates of general secondary schools for adults acquire secondary education on completion of the highest (according to the curriculum) grade, which allows them to apply to post-secondary schools. Having passed the matriculation examination, they become eligible for higher education.
