General secondary school for adults


Definition:

It's upper secondary school with separate organization of education. It's designed for candidates who are eighteen years old, or will have been eighteen in the calendar year, in which they are about to begin education.



Graduates of general secondary schools for adults, after finishing the last grade of the programme receive secondary education, which allows them to apply to post-secondary schools. After passing the Matura (matriculation) examination, they obtain the right to apply to higher education institutions.
