Question put to a minister


Definition:

Question put to a minister is a form of exercising control by Deputies. It is a submission of a question concerning country's political issues in writing by a deputy to the Prime Minister or a specific minister through the Speaker of the Sejm.



A Member of Parliament has the right to submit a parlimentary question concerning matters of fundamental importance and relating to problems associated with state policy. The question should contain a brief presentation of the factual situation that is its subject, along with the resulting questions and should be directed in accordance with the competence of the questioned person. The response to the parlimentary question is given in writing no later than 21 days from the day of receipt of the question.
