Care benefit


Definition:

The cash benefit is payable to insured persons during a period of release from work due to the necessity of taking personal care of sick child under 14 years of age, and in some cases the healthy child under 8 years of age or other sick member of the family.



The care benefit is payable during a period of not more than 60 days in the case of care of the healthy child under 8 years of age or the sick child under 14 years of age and - in the case of care for other sick family member, including sick child aged more than 14 years - not more than 14 days in a calendar year.
