Livestock density


Definition:
Ratio between livestock population and the utilized agricultural area and it is calculated on the basis of the utilized agricultural area (UAA) for the total livestock population and the following separate livestock categories: cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, poultry and equidae. Livestock density can be also expressed in the stock of animals per 1 agricultural holding.
