Young stands


Definition:

Tree stands from the point of achieving density to the initiation of the natural tree separation and trunk-cleaning process (usually between 10 - 20 years of age). Tending works specific to greenwoods include the following: removal or growth inhibition of redundant, faulty or thinning trees (later cleaning), and trunk and treetop formation.
