Definition:
The volume measured in cubic metres is calculated as a product of the area and the height of the structure. If a building has a cellar and a loft, the height of the building should be measured from the floor of the cellar to the floor of the attic. If a building has an attic which contains usable spaces (e.g. dwelling, washroom, etc.), the cubic volume of these spaces is added to the building. If a building comprises several separate parts with different heights, the sum of the cubic volumes of those parts should be given. In the case of expanding a building (structure) or designating only a portion of the building for utilisation, only the volume of this portion (designated for utilisation) is given.
