An individual who voluntarily and without remuneration devotes time to provide services or produce goods for organisations, institutions, individuals, community or natural environment. This activity is a form of work for others and is called volunteer work or volunteering.

As far as Act on Public Benefit and Volunteer Work regulates the matter, the aforementioned services rendered to support mission related activity of NGOs, public sector entities, and therapeutic entities should be regulated by an agreement between the volunteer and the benefiting entity, defining the scope, method and time of the volunteer work.
