Part-time compulsory education


Definition:

An obligation imposed by the Constitution of the Republic of Poland on people until they reach the age of 18, which can be fulfilled by attending public or non-public post-primary school or undergoing, under separate legislation, on-the-job-training. A student who completed post-primary school before reaching the age of 18 may also pursue part-time compulsory education in a higher education institution or vocational qualification courses. Part-time compulsory education also covers the participation of children and youth with a severe intellectual disability in rehabilitation and education classes organised under separate regulations.
