Gmina referendums


Definition:

Award on the official voting card positive or negative response to the question or questions, or to make a choice between the proposed variants by persons permanently residing in the territory of the gmina, having the right to vote.



The referendum is run at the initiative of the decision-making organ of a given local self-government unit, or at the suggestion of gmina inhabitants. The subject of gmina referendum can also constitute self-imposition of taxes on inhabitants with the aim of aiding social goals falling within the scope of tasks and competences of gmina organs. These issues are resolved exclusively through a referendum. Data presented since 2001.
