Village


Definition:

A settlement with concentrated or dispersed housing as well as existing agricultural functions or services associate with agriculture or tourism and not having town rights or the status of a town.



The term "village" as well as terms like "city", "farmstead", "settlement", "hamlet", etc. constitute one of the various types of rural localities defining the kind of given unit, formed in the settlement development process.
