Laying-hens for the production of eggs for hatching


Definition:
Domestic female fowl of the Gallus gallus species aged more than 2 weeks maintained on breeding farms and being reproduced in order to obtain hatching eggs. This term includes young hens that have not yet laid eggs, old hens designated for slaughter as well as breeding roosters being kept to fertilize hens.
