Permanent meadows area


Definition:

The area of permanent meadows is the land permanently overgrown with grass (for 5 years or more), which in principle is mown. In mountainous regions it also includes the area of mown mountain pastures. Meadows should be maintained in a good agricultural condition and mown at least once a year, but the crops do not have to be used for production purposes.
